The service
BlazingFiles is an encrypted file-sharing service, currently in active development. Features, limits and prices may change, and the service may be unavailable at times without notice.
Acceptable use
You may not use BlazingFiles to store or share:
- malware, or anything designed to compromise a device;
- content that is illegal where we operate, including child sexual abuse material;
- content you do not have the right to distribute;
- material used to harass, threaten or impersonate someone.
Anyone holding a share link can report the file behind it. Reports are reviewed by a person, and a file or link found to break these rules is disabled or removed. How that works, and what happens to the decryption key a reporter sends us, is described in Reporting abuse.
Your files
- You are responsible for what you upload and for who you give a share link to. A link is the access: anyone who has it can open the file.
- We cannot recover a lost key. Encryption happens in your browser. If you lose a guest link, or your password and your recovery key, the file cannot be decrypted by anyone — including us.
- Files expire. Retention depends on your plan and, for guest uploads, on the lifetime you chose. An expired or deleted file cannot be restored. Do not use BlazingFiles as your only copy of anything.
Accounts
One person, one account, with an email address you control. We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable-use rules above, and we may remove content without notice where it is clearly illegal.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be available, that a file will still be there when you look for it, or that it is fit for any particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot lose.
Changes
These terms will be replaced with reviewed terms of service before launch. The date at the top of this page says when it last changed.
